A little about me

15439836_10153954891956780_884028292112941353_nHi, I’m Sophie, 25, a loud, judgmental and intolerant accountant living on the Isle of Wight.

I am obsessed with interior decorating, crafts (such as knitting), candles, bath bombs and up-cycling furniture.

I live with one of my best friends, Abbie, who is following Slimming World even though she doesn’t need to lose any weight as she is gorgeous as she, is with curves in all the right places (and has a flat stomach, I know, terribly unfair!).

My wonderful supportive boyfriend, Ashley, who is 6ft 3½” can seem to eat anything he likes without putting on a lb. He’s the son of a published chef and from a family of foodies who create incredible meals daily (this is going to test my willpower). His biggest struggle with me doing this diet is not eating food around me that I’m craving. He loves me no matter what my size, and sees the person that I am and my personality that shines through. Though not always understanding my frustration with my weight but is behind me 150% with this.

Me and Ashley have recently accepted amazing jobs and will be moving to Reading at the end of the Summer. So I’m taking this as an opportunity to sort myself out! I have struggled with my weight for around 8 years now and I’ve used all the excuses you can imagine; I’m not going to go into detail about them as I’m putting that all behind me.

Currently, I’m at the heaviest I have ever been. Growing up I wasn’t a fat girl, my weight gain started at the end of my teens and into my early 20’s (for a variety of excuses I use). I absolutely hate having my photo taken (ugh!) unless I’m taking it, and I dislike going to events as I can never find anything to wear that doesn’t look terrible or feels like I’m wearing a tent. Frequently I feel like people are pre-judging me on my size instead of my fierce, outgoing personality, so enough is enough! I’m determined, geared up and ready to take on this challenge.

So, what’s this blog all about may you ask? I’m going to be using blogging as a diary of my weight loss journey while on the Cambridge diet and anything else that may happen along the way!
